The phone, as mentioned above, is official in China. It’s currently available to pre-order from Vivo e-shop in China only. Vivo U3 comes in two different storage tiers to choose from – the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage set users back CNY 999 (~$140) whereas 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant goes for CNY 1,199 (around $170). The exact release date outside China isn’t yet confirmed, but it’s available to pre-order in China in three multiple colours – Agate Black, Spar Blue, and Onion Blue. Vivo U3 Specifications
Taking a look at Vivo U3 specifications, it’s running on the Android 9.0 Pie operating system with Vivo’s FunTouch OS 9 custom skin on top. It’s bearing a massive 6.53-inches display with a maximum resolution of 1080 x 2340, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a 90.3% screen-to-body ratio. The Octa-core Snapdragon 675 Chipset works like a brain – partnered with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard memory with an option to expand it further up to 256GB via microSD card. Rather than adopting a modern USB Type-C port, Vivo U3 comes with a Micro-USB port for charging and file transfer, and it houses a face unlock feature as well. The triple rear camera consists of a 16MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor whereas a single 16MP camera is available on the front for selfies. A gigantic 5000mAh battery powers the phone with support for 18W Dual Engine Flash Charging and at last, a fingerprint scanner is mounted on its rear to get the phone unlocked in a jiffy.
