Method: 1 When you want to write a word vertically, you have to type a letter and press Enter. Similarly, type the second letter of the word and again press Enter. The same should be applied to all the letters of a word. Now select the typed ones. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, Click on the paragraph formatting launcher. On the Indent and Spacing tab, under Spacing, set 0 or 1 in the “After” box. Lastly, click “OK“. Method: 2 Now go to the “Insert” tab Insert Text Box from the Illustrations group or Text group. Type the text you want in it Decrease the width of a text box until all the letter aligns vertically Now select the “Text Box” and click “Shape Outline“, and then select “No Outline” to hide the outline of a text box. Method: 3 Insert a single-column table with the number of rows equal to the letters in a word. Now type each letter in each row. Now decrease the width of a table until it fits the letter If you want to hide the table, select the table, click the drop-down arrow of the borders, and then select “No Borders“. You can also change the text directions by navigating to the Table tools “Layout” tab and selecting “Text Direction” in the “Alignment” group. Method: 4 Go to the “Insert” tab, click “WordArt” and select one of the WordArt formats to insert it In the WordArt text box, Type the text you want Click and hold down on the circle, which appears at the lower right of the WordArt text box, then drag down and move slightly to the left until each letter aligns vertically.
